Three-Dimensional Calculation of Sinus Augmentation Volume after Maxillary Sinus Floor Elevation

نویسندگان

چکیده

Objectives: This study aimed to calculate the volume of maxillary sinus and grafted part it with different modes three-dimensional reconstruction software. Materials Methods: retrospective volumetric cone-beam computed tomography was carried out on 21 patients/ 36 sinuses who had undergone lift surgery using a lateral approach, between 2010 2016 at Department Periodontology. All statistical analyses were performed by NCSS (Number Cruncher Statistical System, Kaysville, Utah, U.S.A.) P values 0.05). An occupied portion cavity after floor elevation approximately 14.87 %. Furthermore, through manual automatical software do not affect results (p>0.05). The right left sides volumes from each other. Gender measuring mode found be related cavity. Conclusions: defined as safe in terms serious complications during surgery.

Maxillary sinus floor elevation surgery

Although augmentation of the maxillary sinus floor with autogenous bone grafts has become a well established preimplantology procedure, its effect on the function of the maxillary sinus has not been the subject of prospective human studies. In this prospective study the effects of sinus floor augmentation on maxillary sinus performance were evaluated. Seventeen consecutive patients who were to ...

Maxillary sinus-floor elevation: an animal model.

OBJECTIVES To find an animal model for modified Caldwell-Luc procedure training. The animal model should have (1) a proper cortical thickness in the lateral wall; (2) a similar morphology and resistance of the Schneiderian membrane in humans; and, finally, (3) an oral approach. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twelve fresh heads (four Merino sheep, four Murciano-Granadina goats and four Large-White pigs...

Complications of postoperative swelling of the maxillary sinus membrane after sinus floor augmentation

Maxillary sinus floor augmentations were performed by the lateral window technique in 132 sites using betatricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) granules. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans were taken before surgery, the day of surgery, and one week, three months and one year after surgery. The proportion of the area of the postoperative swelling of the sinus membrane in relation to the remaining...

Endoscopic and ultrasonographic evaluation of the maxillary sinus after combined sinus floor augmentation and implant insertion.

OBJECTIVE The aim of our study was a radiographic, endoscopic, and ultrasound follow-up of the maxillary sinus comparing 2 techniques of sinus floor augmentation. STUDY DESIGN Sonograms, radiographs (Waters' view) of the sinuses, and endoscopy served before and during surgery to evaluate the maxillary sinus. One week after the operation, ultrasound and radiograph follow-up (Waters' view) were...

Maxillary sinus floor augmentation in patients with maxillary sinus pseudocyst: case report.

The maxillary sinus floor elevation procedure has gained popularity with predictable results, and is a safe, acceptable technique for bone augmentation, providing a base for dental implant treatment. Faint radiopaque lesions at the base of the maxillary sinus are frequent diagnoses on radiographs and must be identified during dental implant planning. Pseudocysts classically appear hemispheric, ...
